Greetings and welcome...

2008 was a banner year for the Jefferson County Republican Party!  In 2008, Jefferson County saw a substantial increase in Republican votes from 2004, providing us a real opportunity to expand our influence in the region. We’re striving to provide the voters of Jefferson County with candidates who can provide strong, local leadership in the Jefferson County Courthouse in 2010 and beyond. The time for the Republican Party to lead in Jefferson County is upon us and we need your help.

While Republicans nationwide are struggling with regaining traction, the community in Southeast Texas has begun to understand and embrace the philosophies of the Republican Party – self determination and personal liberty, truly limited government in the affairs and finances of Americans, the governing principles of Federalism as laid out in the Constitution, local government where government is necessary, and finally, a deep, abiding respect for the individual freedom of every American. Our idea is to reach people where they are with respect, solid ideas, and a posture of good old-fashioned neighborly work.

With strong examples like U.S. Representative Ted Poe, TX Senator Tommy Williams, TX Senator Joan Huffman, and County Commissioner Eddie Arnold walking the talk, Jefferson County is blessed with leadership that speaks to the sincerity and integrity of our message. We’re proud to point to the leadership of these men and women but the party is so much more than our elected officials – it’s ultimately about you and what leadership you provide.

We have several opportunities to serve and learn new ideas whether through the Golden Triangle Republican Women, the Southeast Texas Young Republicans, or the Southeast Texas Republican Liberty Caucus. Opportunities within the party abound from serving your neighborhood as a precinct chair, on a committee helping plan out events, or reaching out to folks in the community. Whatever gender, whatever age, whatever race or ancestral roots you claim, if freedom and the ability to be left alone to work within your community and family to solve problems rather than rely on bureaucrats in Washington D.C. or Austin to do it for us, then the Jefferson County Republican Party is your home.
